Wedding planning is a process of excitement and love intermixed with a bit of feeling overwhelmed and anxiety. I initially met Preeti as a bridesmaid at a close friend’s wedding and was drawn to how impeccably organized the event was and how relaxed my friend was at her own wedding; two things that typically are not usually standard particularly when it comes to South Asian weddings, which are notorious for being chaotic. When the time came around for my own wedding, one of the first things I did was select Preeti as my wedding planner. My husband and I chose the full service package, which was probably one of the best decisions we made. There are so many components and facets of wedding planning that we just didn’t realize or anticipate even after independently planning our own engagement party. A wedding and all of the pre wedding events is a completely different planning experience and we were so fortunate to have Preeti and her team holding our hands, walking us through the process, and keeping us organized on a timeline. I cannot express to you how many times I was relieved by Preeti simply saying “I’ll take care of it,” when there were so many routine issues like following up with a vendor or finding a venue to accommodate our budget. It was a relief not have the pressure of the wedding fall on my shoulders. I am a DIY fanatic, and with the help of Preeti and her team I was able to incorporate all of my DIY projects like a petal toss and mirror welcome sign. These were small personal elements that I am not too sure how I would have carried it out without Preeti. By the time our wedding came around, we had someone like Preeti, someone who was not only familiar with each and every detail of the wedding but also now a friend who joined us through the process and took care of us each step of the way.
